Storm Lake Man Charged With Making Unauthorized Construction Purchases from Local Store

A man has been arrested for making unauthorized purchases from Marcus Lumber in Storm Lake.

Storm Lake Police officers were called to the store for an investigation back on July 14th. 26-year-old Fabian Carrasco Urquiola had reportedly placed three orders during June and July totaling approximately six-thousand dollars worth of construction materials. Shortly after placing the orders, Marcus Lumber was advised that the credit cards used during the transactions were returned unauthorized.

Carrasco Urquiola was located by police Thursday in the 18-hundred block of Lake Avenue. He was charged with two counts of 2nd Degree Theft, a class D felony…and one count of 4th Degree Theft, a serious misdemeanor. He was also found to be wanted on a Buena Vista County warrant for 2nd Degree Theft, a class D felony.

Carrasco Urquiola was taken into custody without incident, and booked in the Buena Vista County Jail on a ten-thousand dollar bond.
