A Storm Lake man was arrested on multiple charges for allegedly assaulting an individual in the early morning hours over the weekend.
According to the Storm Lake Police Department, officers were called to a residence in the one-thousand block of Lake Avenue around 3am Sunday. The victim alleged that 48-year-old Javier Garcia Aguilar entered the residence without permission and began striking the victim in the face. Garcia Aguilar fled the residence after the assault. He ultimately surrendered himself at the Storm Lake Police Department.
Garcia Aguilar was charged with 1st Degree Burglary, a class B felony…and Domestic Abuse Assault Causing Bodily Injury, a serious misdemeanor. Garcia Aguilar was booked without bond into the Buena Vista County Jail.
