Storm Lake Man Charged With Attempted Murder

A Storm Lake man has been charged with attempted murder following a stabbing incident.

According to the Storm Lake Police Department, officers were called to the 700 block of Grand Avenue around 8:50pm Tuesday regarding an individual who had been stabbed multiple times. Upon arrival, officers located an 18-year-old male from Storm Lake who was suffering from several stab wounds to the torso area. The victim was transported by ambulance to the Buena Vista Regional Medical Center for treatment.

A robbery reportedly occurred outside of a Storm Lake residence, which led to the stabbing. The victim reportedly attempted to flee into a residence to seek refuge, but the perpetrator forced entry into the home and continued to assault the victim. The suspect, identified as 20-year-old Dah Dah of Storm Lake, was confronted by other individuals inside the home and subsequently fled the scene on foot. Authorities located Dah at an apartment at 411 West 4th Street in Storm Lake later that evening. A loaded firearm, knife, and drug paraphernalia were located at that location.

Dah was charged with Attempted Murder, 1st Degree Robbery, and 1st Degree Burglary, all class B felonies…Assault While Participating in a Felony, a class C felony…Willful Injury, a class D felony…and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, a simple misdemeanor. He was booked into the Buena Vista County Jail on a 90 thousand 300 dollar bond.
