A Storm Lake man was taken into custody after driving on a suspended license.
This past Sunday (Nov. 5th) afternoon, a Clay County Deputy initiated a traffic stop on a vehicle in the 2900 mile of Hwy. 71. The driver of the vehicle, 26-year-old Gerardo Lechuga Jr., of Storm Lake was found to be driving on a suspended license while also smelling of alcohol.
After being put through field sobriety tests, Lechuga Jr. was arrested and transported to the Clay County Jail. Lechuga Jr. was charged with Driving Under Suspension, and Speeding, both Simple Misdemeanors; and O.W.I. (2nd), an Aggravated Misdemeanor.
