A Storm Lake man has been arrested for using credit cards without authorization.
According to Storm Lake Police, the department received a report back in November of 2022 regarding fraudulent activity on a local business account which resulted in a loss of several thousand dollars. Police allege that on October 11th and November 8th of 2022, a man identified as 47-year-old Barbaro Marquez Dominguez used credit cards belonging to a Storm Lake business without authorization to obtain approximately five thousand dollars in fuel.
On Tuesday of this week, Marquez Dominguez surrendered himself at the Storm Lake Police Station. He was charged with 2nd Degree Theft and two counts of Unauthorized Use of a Credit Card, a class D felony. Marquez Dominguez was booked into the Buena Vista County Jail on a five-thousand dollar bond.
