A pilot social work program is currently being offered until the end of September by the Storm Lake Public Library.
The grant funding is being used to provide for a social work professional to be stationed at the library on Mondays from 2-4 pm, specializing in directing residents in need of various helping services available in the area.
The location of the pilot program will be at the newly-created telehealth room at the Storm Lake Library. The staff member on hand is a graduate of Buena Vista University’s social work program and has worked with locally in child and family services for several years.
Appointments are encouraged, but walk-in services are also available. To schedule an appointment, contact the Storm Lake Library and (712)-732-8026.
