Storm Lake Library Will Soon be Closed for Over a Week Due to Lighting Project

The Storm Lake Public Library facility will be closed to public access from Wednesday, July 17th through July 26th to allow for the conversion of the building to LED lighting.

The project will provide brighter and more reader-friendly lighting, and will also be more efficient and energy-saving. Library staff will be available during normal hours during the closure period. Patrons may call 732-8026 to request materials for a curbside pickup. Materials can still be returned in the dropoff box. Programs that had been scheduled during the closure period at the library will not be held.

The City of Storm Lake is also in the process of converting lighting to LED at city hall, the fire and police stations, airport, water and wastewater plants, and the public works building.
