A giveaway is being offered by the Storm Lake Public Library to coincide with the upcoming spring season.
The library’s “Seed Swap and Giveaway” begins March 1st with a kickoff at 11:30 that morning. A wide variety of vegetable and flower seeds will be available for free, with up to five packets being offered per family while supplies last. The library will also have a display of popular gardening books to provide inspiration for local growers, as well as sweet treats during the March 1st kickoff.
Many of the seed packets are being provided by the West Des Moines-based non-profit Nine Square Feet.
