A total of 95 units of blood were collected at three LifeServe Blood Center blood drives this month in Storm Lake.
The blood drives were hosted to support the Buena Vista Regional Medical Center and over 150 other hospitals served by LifeServe. The blood collected has the ability to save up to 285 local lives.
Several local donors hit milestones with their most recent donation. Robert North has now donated 15 gallons of blood…David Patton 14 gallons…Joy Phelps nine gallons…Roger Anderson four gallons…Jon McKenna and Darin Elsden three gallons…and Monica Lybarger, Ana Phillips, and Joe Aube reached one gallon of blood donated.
Two LifeServe Blood Center blood drives are scheduled in Storm Lake in February, including Tuesday, February 6th from 12:30 to 5:30pm at St. Mark’s Lutheran Church…and Friday, February 16th from 9am to 1pm at the United Methodist Church.
