The Storm Lake Fire Department hosted a celebration event on Tuesday evening for Marty Peck, who is retiring after serving on the department for 30 years.
Mayor Mike Porsch presented Marty with a retirement gift. Marty’s family was on hand, along with Fire Chief Glenn Schlesser, fellow firefighters, and guests.
The Storm Lake Fire Department has been searching for additional volunteers. The department provides all of the needed training and equipment for individuals. Volunteers must be 18 or older. If interested, contact Schlesser at 732-8010, or apply at the fire station at 820 Oneida Street Monday through Friday between 8am and 5pm.
