Storm Lake received a little over five inches of rain for the month of August, according to measurements taken outside the radio station.
A majority of the rainfall last month arrived on Saturday, August 5th. Over three-and-a-half inches fell that weekend.
According to readings taken at the stations, the average high-temperature last month was a bit more than 82 degrees. The temperature exceeded 90 degrees five days during August, all during the previous week.
The average low-temperature last month was 63 degrees.
