State Senator Evans Elected as an Assistant Majority Leader

District 3 State Senator Lynn Evans of Aurelia has been elected an Assistant Majority Leader by his colleagues for the 91st General Assembly.

Evans says his first two years in office were marked by some impressive accomplishments, and his goal is to continue that work and assist the caucus as they start looking forward to the 2025 legislative session.

Evans, a Republican, serves all of Buena Vista, O’Brien, and Osceola counties, and portions of Cherokee and Clay counties. Prior to being elected to the State Senate, Evans served as superintendent of the Alta Aurelia School District.

The first day of the 2025 Iowa Legislative Session is January 13th.
