State Auditor Rob Sand will visit area counties tomorrow (Thur) as part of his 5th “100 Town Hall” tour.
The stops tomorrow (Thur) include from 2:15 to 3:15pm at Sunset Park in Storm Lake…and 4 to 5pm at Elbert Park in Pocahontas.
Sand will deliver remarks and take questions on the work of the State Auditor’s office, as well as the condition of the state’s finances and governance. According to a press release, expected topics of discussion include the lack of accountability and transparency in the new school vouchers legislation that will take tax dollars away from public schools to pay for private school tuition, new legislation that allows state agencies to conceal documents from the State Auditor, and advancements in the Public Innovations and Efficiencies program.
