State Auditor Rob Sand on Wednesday released an audit report on the City of Rolfe.
The City’s receipts and disbursements each totaled over 1.1 million dollars for the fiscal year that ended June 30th, 2021.
Sand reported 13 findings related to the receipt and disbursement of taxpayer funds. The findings address issues such as lack of segregation of duties, incorrect recording of property tax receipts, the lack of independent review of utility reconciliations, the lack of approval of timesheets, disbursements exceeding budgeted amounts, and non-compliance with revenue note resolutions. Sand provided the City of Rolfe with recommendations to address each of the findings.
