A Spencer man was arrested on several charges after a verbal altercation with his daughter.
Back on December 4th, the Clay County Sheriff’s Office received notice of a fight in progress in the 100 Block of Church Street in Royal. According to a press release, officers determined that Haylee Cox, who resided not too far from where the incident occurred, was arguing with her father, 40-year-old Adam Cox, of Spencer. The two individuals were screaming at each other and Adam happened to damage Haylee’s vehicle during the disagreement.
The press release states that both Haylee and Adam vacated the residence once officers arrived. An investigation was launched and five days later on December 9th, Clay County deputies charged Adam Cox with Disorderly Conduct (simple misdemeanor) and Criminal Mischief (simple misdemeanor). Adam Cox was issued a citation and ultimately released.
