A Spencer man was arrested on multiple charges after he was pulled over for driving 90 miles-per-hour in a 65 mile-per-hour zone.
According to the Clay County Sheriff’s Office, a deputy observed a white Kia Optima traveling at a high rate of speed around 1:45 Sunday morning just north of Spencer at the intersection of West 37th Street and Highway 71. The driver, 29-year-old Ty Jackson of Spencer, was determined to be under the influence of alcohol.
Jackson was charged with OWI 1st Offense, Open Container, and Excessive Speed. He was booked into the Clay County Jail.
