A Spencer man was arrested over the weekend for assaulting a family member in an incident that involved a chainsaw.
Members of the Spencer Police Department responded to a disturbance report at 821 Fisher Court shortly after 3:45 Sunday afternoon. 29-year-old Challer Wadsley allegedly physically assaulted a family member, and retrieved a chainsaw to further intimidate the victim. Officers were forced to use a taser on Wadsley after he became resistant during the arrest attempt.
Wadsley was charged with Intimidation With A Dangerous Weapon, a class C felony…Domestic Assault Impeding Airflow, an aggravated misdemeanor…and Interference With Official Acts, a simple misdemeanor. He was booked into the Clay County Jail on a 25-thousand 300-dollar bond.
