After months of delays to iron out details, the Spencer City Council on Monday approved the preliminary and final plats, giving Kwik Star the go-ahead to proceed with the construction of a store at the North Y.

Construction on infrastructure in the North Y development where Kwik Star will be located is continuing and is expected to be completed in time for the company to begin construction, possibly beginning in June, 2024.
