Slick Road Conditions Result in Injuries Accident in Clay County

Minor injuries occurred in a two-vehicle accident in Clay County.

According to the Clay County Sheriff’s Office, the accident happened at around 10:20 last (Mon) night in the 33-hundred block of Highway 18. 23-year-old Ally Montgomery of Arnolds Park was driving a 2011 Toyota Camry westbound on the highway, while 39-year-old John Marcum of Graettinger was driving eastbound in a 2003 Ford F150. The vehicles collided due to slippy road conditions.

Both drivers received minor injuries. Both vehicles sustained an estimated eight-thousand dollars in damage. There’s no indication of charges being filed.

The Clay County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the Palo Alto County Sheriff’s Office, as well as Spencer Ambulance, and Ruthven and Dickens First Responders.
