A Sioux Rapids woman received minor injuries in an early morning single-vehicle accident late last week.
According to the Clay County Sheriff’s Office, at around midnight the past Friday, 22-year-old Alexis Amendolare was traveling west in a car in the 24-hundred mile of 490th Street. The vehicle swerved to avoid hitting a deer, entered the right ditch, and struck the ditch embankment.
Amendolare was issued a citation for Failure to Maintain Control. The vehicle sustained seven-thousand dollars in damage.
