A Sioux Rapids business that’s been shut down due to the June flood is preparing to officially reopen.
Hondo’s Sales and Service sells lawnmowers and offers repair services. Owner Erik Mosbo says it feels good to get the business going again, but previously wasn’t sure if they would get to this point…
Mosbo says volunteers in the community have made a big impact…
Mosbo says Hondo’s shop will be able to perform at about 75 percent of what they had previously done…
Most of their mowers were lost in the flood. Mosbo says they haven’t yet received any grant money from the federal or state governments.
Hondo’s doesn’t have an official date set for reopening, but Mosbo says they’re tentatively looking at Monday, September 23rd.
Hondo’s Sales and Service started in Rembrandt in 1996, and moved to Sioux Rapids in 2009.
