Authorities in Sioux County made several arrests on Monday, after months of investigating drug and weapon trafficking. According to the Sioux County Sheriff’s Office, on December 30th several search warrants were executed simultaneously at area residences and a dairy. During these searches, illegal drugs and weapons were discovered. Six people were arrested:
48-year-old Efrain Ramirez of Sioux Center, charged with delivery of a controlled substance and child endangerment;
43-year-old Alberto Hernandez of Rock Valley, charged with delivery of a controlled substance and three counts of child endangerment;
23-year-old Juan Marques of Orange City, charged with delivery of a controlled substance;
45-year-old Gary Stallings of Battle Creek, charged with trafficking stolen weapons, second-degree theft and felon in possession of a firearm;
33-year-old Kandi Senski of Battle Creek, charged with trafficking stolen weapons
29-year-old Jehsi Boren of Battle Creek, charged with trafficking stolen weapons, second-degree theft, felon in possession of a firearm and possession of burglary tools.
The charges stem from a months-long investigation by the Sioux County Sheriff’s Office, assisted by the Tri-County CERT Team, the Woodbury County Sheriff’s Office’s SWAT Team, the Iowa State Patrol’s Tactical Team, the Orange City Police Department, and the FBI.
