Wood says funding streams won’t start until July of next year, which is the earliest project work could begin…

The Sioux Central physical plant and equipment levy, which will be in effect for the next ten years, passed with 78 percent in favor. PPEL revenues will increase to 500-thousand dollars per year. Property taxes will be raised about one dollar per thousand dollars of taxable valuation.

The Sioux Central District’s overall tax rate isn’t expected to exceed $12.25 per thousand dollars valuation. The tax rate will only increase by slightly more than two-and-a-half percent over the next decade.
