The Storm Lake School Board at their recent meeting identified preschool, mental health, teacher recruitment and licensure, and supplemental state aid as their top four legislative action priorities to be submitted to the Iowa Association of School Boards.

The Board also approved the purchase of power lifting equipment at a cost of 25-thousand dollars. Dr. Cole said they are seeing more interest in weight lifting classes, and a lack safety has been identified with the district’s current equipment. Raveling said the summer program was very beneficial. The purchase will be covered with ESSER funds.
