Ridge View Senior Honored at Art Workshop Event

A Ridge View senior student this week won a couple of prizes at the 30th annual High School Art Workshop and Show in Aberdeen, South Dakota.

Maguire Neumann attended the event on Tuesday, which consisted of a juried art show. Students in attendance also participated in creative workshops presented by the University’s Art Department.

Neumann’s two entries took home the top two prizes. He won 1st place for his “Ice Cream Laughs” acrylic painting, and gained honorable mention for his graphite and charcoal project titled “A Father’s Love.”

A total of 150 pieces of art were submitted for the High School Art Workshop and Show, and the top 50 works were put on display.
