Ribbon Cutting Event Held for Storm Lake Townhouse Development Project

A Storm Lake United ribbon-cutting event took place Wednesday afternoon on the grounds of the new Kading Properties townhomes on the east side of Storm Lake.

The City of Storm Lake and Tyson Foods approached Kading more than three years ago as they were looking to identify a potential partner in workforce housing development.

Some of the townhomes are still under construction, and Burns said the entire project is expected to be completed early next spring. The Kading townhomes all consist of three bedrooms with either one bathroom and a one-car garage, or two bathrooms and a two-car garage. The rent for each of the townhomes is $895 per month. Each of the units has approximately 1,008 square feet of living space.
