A total of 111 units of blood were collected at three LifeServe Blood Center blood drives in Storm Lake this month.
The blood drives were hosted to support the Buena Vista Regional Medical Center and over 130 other hospitals served by LifeServe. The amount of blood collected has the ability to save up to 133 local lives.
Several donors hit milestones with their most recent donation. Josh Lundberg reached 11 gallons of blood donated…Rosalynn Larson seven gallons…Ronald Buenger four gallons…David Kofmehl three gallons…Bunny Doyle, Amanda Kollasch, Jill Anderson, and Nicole Mason all donated two gallons…and Steven Ellis, Carrie Barglof, and Michele Rock all donated one gallon.
Two LifeServe blood drives are scheduled in Storm Lake during the month of July. A blood drive will be held on Monday, July 3rd from 12:30pm to 5:30pm at St. Mark’s Lutheran Church. Another blood drive is scheduled on Friday, July 21st from 9am to 1pm at the United Methodist Church. Make an appointment by texting “LIFESERVE” to 999-777.
