A little after 7:30 pm this past Saturday, May 20th, a Deputy from Clay County initiated a traffic stop on a vehicle in the 5000 mile of Hwy 71. The Deputy found that the driver of the vehicle, Damian Morton, age 32, of Rembrandt, was suspected of being under the influence of alcohol.
After being run through several field sobriety tests, Morton was arrested for O.W.I. 2nd (an Aggravated Misdemeanor), Operation without Registration, No Insurance, and No Drivers License (all simple misdemeanors). Morton was transported to the Clay County Jail.
