A Storm Lake man was arrested on multiple charges following an alleged reckless driving incident over the weekend.
According to the Storm Lake Police Department, at approximately 1:30am Sunday, officers were conducting foot patrol in the 500 block of Erie Street when they observed the vehicle, which struck an unattended vehicle in a parking lot before it fled. The vehicle was stopped in that same area. The driver was identified as 21-year-old Luis Rodriguez Trejo, who allegedly showed signs of alcohol impairment, and had a revoked driving status in Iowa. He was taken into custody on scene.
Rodriguez Trejo was charged with 3rd Offense Operating While Intoxicated, a class D felony…Driving While Barred, an aggravated misdemeanor…Driving While License Revoked, a serious misdemeanor…and Open Container and Violation of Restricted License Conditions, both scheduled violations.
Rodriguez Trejo was booked into the Buena Vista County Jail on a bond of nearly 87 hundred dollars.
