Another step has been taken in the process of developing a new Kwik Star store in Storm Lake.
The Storm Lake City Council on Tuesday approved the 1st reading of an ordinance that calls for the city to vacate the public right-of-way in a portion of Marshall Avenue on the southeast side of town where the store will be located. Some concern was raised by Grand Central Coffee station owner John Keenan about increased truck traffic in that area, and brought up the possibility of adding a crosswalk. Olesen anticipates the public will be able to provide more input as the process continues…
