Possible Injuries Reported in Separate O’Brien County Collisions

Possible injuries were reported in two separate crashes late last week in O’Brien county.

One of those involved a 17-year-old driver who lost control of a vehicle that started fish tailing on a gravel road. It went into a ditch and rolled. The teen was cited for failure to maintain control.

The other was a chain reaction collision that happened in Primghar. Authorities say 89-year-old Alice Marquart of Primghar was backing a 2023 Buick into a parking space when she accidentally hit the accelerator instead of the brake pedal. Marquart’s vehicle then struck a parked, unoccupied vehicle, pushing it into a building and causing about $10,000 in damage. Damage to each vehicle was estimated at about $15,000. Marquart and a passenger in her vehicle were checked over on the scene by paramedics and were released.
