A Pocahontas man faces multiple charges for livestock theft in an investigation that involved law enforcement agencies from eight different area counties.
According to authorities, 26-year-old Corey Goeders was arrested this past Friday on a valid Palo Alto County warrant stemming from the investigation that began in April of 2023. The case stems from incidents that allegedly happened between June of 2023 and February of this year.
Goeders was charged with Ongoing Criminal Conduct, a class B felony…Money Laundering and seven counts of 1st Degree Theft, all class C felonies…Tax Evasion and nine counts of 2nd Degree Theft, all class D felonies…and one count of 4th Degree Theft, a serious misdemeanor. He was booked into jail on Friday, but has since been released after posting bond.
Sheriff’s offices from Buena Vista, Calhoun, Clay, Pocahontas, Kossuth, Webster, and Woodbury were all involved in the case, along with the Iowa Department of Public Safety and Iowa Department of Revenue.
