Over a Hundred Units of Blood Collected at Storm Lake LifeServe Blood Center Blood Drives in May

A total of 113 units of blood was collected at three LifeServe Blood Center blood drives this month in Storm Lake.

The amount of blood collected has the ability to save up to 339 local lives. The blood drives were hosted to support the Buena Vista Regional Medical Center and over 160 other hospitals served by LifeServe.

Several local donors hit milestones with their most recent donation. Dennis Erlandson has now donated four gallons of blood…Jeffery Loew, Katie Lindgren, Maxwell Wallace, and Jennifer Moral two gallons…and Kenneth Davis, Larrette Kolbe, and Linda Culp have all donated one gallon of blood.

Two LifeServe blood drives are scheduled in Storm Lake during June, including Tuesday, June 4th from 12:30pm to 5:30pm at St. Mark’s Lutheran Church…and Friday, June 21st from 9am to 1pm at the United Methodist Church.
