A total of 107 units of blood were collected at two LifeServe blood drives in Storm Lake this month.
The blood drives were hosted to support the Buena Vista Regional Medical Center and over 160 other hospitals served by the LifeServe Blood Center. The amount of blood collected has the ability to save up to 321 local lives.
Several local donors hit milestones with their most recent donation including Jerene Neir who has now donated 16 gallons of blood…Thomas Steward 14 gallons…Ruth Stark 13 gallons…Bruce Richardson 12 gallons…Arnold Wiener ten gallons…Kris Kohl eight gallons…Paul Sennert seven gallons…Daniel Jones six gallons…Christina Deprann four gallons…and Ladene Ponsor three gallons.
Three LifeServe blood drives are scheduled in Storm Lake in July including Tuesday, July 2nd from 12:30 to 5:30pm at St. Mark’s Lutheran Church…Friday, July 19th from 9am to 1pm at United Methodist Church…and Friday, July 25th from 10am to 2:30pm at Buena Vista University.
