A ribbon cutting and open house event will be held on Wednesday, June 5th from 10am to noon to celebrate the new location of the Buena Vista County Extension office.
The come-and-go event will be held at 701 Seneca Street in Storm Lake. Office tours and light refreshments will be provided. Fifty-Nine Grind Coffee Truck will be on site from 10am to noon to purchase your favorite coffee or refreshment, and Rite Choice Food Truck will be available for lunch from noon to 2pm.
The new space south of Fareway in Storm Lake features five staff offices, a large conference room, a medium sized meeting room, and a small kitchen/break room. The office houses both local county and state staff, and is a hub for resources from Iowa State University.
BV County Extension offers research, programs, and resources related to agriculture and natural resources, community and economic development, human sciences, and 4-H youth development.
