Storm Lake parents have until the end of this month to fill out a child care needs online survey.
The City of Storm Lake has contracted with First Children’s Finance to complete a childcare study which will include research and analysis on the needs of local families and children, the current supply of registered childcare, parents’ current and preferred childcare choices, impact on employers caused by lack of childcare, and childcare providers’ challenges in operating.
A report will be put together based on the study that will include the key findings of the research and analysis, including a survey of parents who are currently using childcare in Storm Lake or want to use childcare in Storm Lake, to learn about their childcare preferences along with childcare challenges they may be facing.
