The Iowa Lakes Corridor Development Corporation today (Thur) announced the hiring of its new President and Chief Executive Officer.
Curt Strouth will take over the position in August in place of Shannon Landauer, who resigned a month ago. Iowa Lakes Corridor Development is a regional economic development organization that serves Buena Vista, Clay, Dickinson, and Emmet counties.
Strouth is currently the Community Development Director for the Sheldon Chamber and Development Corporation. In his current role, Strouth has overseen a number of development projects. He has also worked on workforce development initiatives such as the O’Brien County Career Day, and financial scholarships to help recruit local workforce back to the area. Strouth also served as the City of Rock Valley Community Activities Director from 2001 to 2012.
