Minor injuries occurred in a single-vehicle motorcycle accident in Clay County this past weekend.
According to the Clay County Sheriff’s Office, the accident occurred around 5:45pm on Saturday at the 13-hundred mile of Highway 18. 45-year-old Alberto Leon of Sibley was traveling westbound when he lost control of his motorcycle due to heavy rain and high winds. Leon was forced into the ditch and was thrown from the motorcycle, which rolled approximately twice.
The motorcycle sustained approximately 35-hundred dollars in damage.
