Iowa’s soybean harvest is just about complete, according to the latest crop progress report from the USDA.

Corn harvested for grain reached 94 percent statewide, which is on pace with last year and ten days ahead of the five-year average. 97 percent of corn in northwest Iowa has been harvested.
34 percent of northwest Iowa topsoil is short or very short of moisture. 57 percent of northwest Iowa subsoil is short or very short of moisture. No northwest Iowa topsoil or subsoil is considered to have excess moisture, and only one percent of each has excess moisture statewide.
