More information has been released from a domestic disturbance that involved a firearm late last week in Storm Lake.
According to the Storm Lake Police Department, officers were called to a residence in the 700 block of Chloe Lane shortly after 10pm Friday. Police allege a domestic disturbance occurred between a male and female at the residence, in which the female armed herself with a handgun and threatened self-harm. No injuries were reported. The female was taken into custody and transported to the Buena Vista Regional Medical Center.
Police set up a perimeter upon arriving at the residence. The occupants exited after approximately 20 minutes, and were detained without incident. Criminal charges are still pending. The investigation is ongoing. The Storm Lake Police Department was assisted by the Buena Vista County Sheriff’s Office.
