As we previously reported, a film featuring various aspects of life and culture in the Iowa Lakes Corridor Development region will soon be making its debut.
The film will premiere at the 15th annual Twin Cities Film Fest, which will be held October 17th through the 26th in St. Louis Park, Minnesota. The “My Town” series breaks down misconceptions and negative stereotypes of the rural lifestyle. The first season includes seven communities in Iowa, Minnesota, North Dakota, and Wisconsin. The Corridor was the only Iowa community selected for Season 1. The Corridor’s episode highlights Storm Lake, and focuses on the spirit of entrepreneurship, community, and opportunity in the four-county region.
Part 1 of the Corridor’s episode will premiere at the film fest on Saturday, October 19th at 4:30pm. Part 2 will be shown on Thursday, October 24th at 7:30pm.
The Corridor episode will be streamed on the “My Town Series” on YouTube and Facebook after the premiere event in October.
