There was a heavy police presence in Storm Lake yesterday (Thur) as officers responded to a mental health-related call involving threats with a firearm.
According to the Storm Lake Police Department, the incident happened in the 900 block of Pleasantview Drive late yesterday (Thur) afternoon. Negotiators worked to communicate with the individual, and the individual safely exited the residence after a short period of negotiations. The individual is safe, and is now receiving the assistance they need. One firearm was recovered at the scene.
