The mandatory water conservation measures for Storm Lake water users have been lifted as of today (Wed).
The measures had been in place since late June. A news release states that as the city has passed the heavier usage of the lawn watering period, city officials feel the water supply will be adequate for the coming season. Storm Lake returns to its Voluntary Water Conservation level.
The City of Storm Lake continues to encourage wise use of water by residential and commercial users to avoid peaks in usage, and to ensure that there is an adequate supply for all users, plus a reserve in the towers in the event of firefighting needs.
