Man Sentenced to Prison in Calhoun County for Child Sex Abuse

A Minnesota man received a prison sentence Tuesday in Calhoun County District Court for sexually abusing a child.

According to a press release from the Calhoun County Attorney’s Office, 37-year-old Troy Holicky of Lamberton, Minnesota was sentenced to the maximum term of 25 years in prison for sexually abusing a 13-year-old child in rural Manson on July 7th of this year. Holicky must serve 17-and-a-half years of the sentence before he is eligible for parole. He was also placed on the Iowa Sex Offender Registry for the rest of his life.

The Calhoun County Sheriff’s Office investigated the case, with assistance from the Rockwell City Police Department.
