A Storm Lake man was arrested on drug-related charges following a traffic stop.
According to the Storm Lake Police Department, an officer conducted the traffic stop at approximately 1:30am Tuesday on a vehicle in the 300 block of East Milwaukee Avenue regarding a minor violation. A Buena Vista County Sheriff’s Office K9 was deployed and indicated narcotics were present in the vehicle.
21-year-old Kevin Dineros was taken into custody on a charge of Possession of a Hemp Inhalation Device, a serious misdemeanor. Dineros was transported to the BV County Jail for booking. During the booking process, police allegedly located a marijuana pipe concealed by Dineros. He was further charged with Possession of Contraband Within a Correctional Facility, a class D felony. Dineros was booked into the BV County Jail on a six thousand dollar bond.
The Storm Lake Police Department was assisted in the incident by the Buena Vista County Sheriff’s Office.
