A man was found dead yesterday (Mon) outside of a Spencer residence.
According to the Spencer Police Department, the Clay County Communication Center received a call shortly before noon on Monday regarding an unresponsive male found outside of the residence at 217 West 5th Street. Upon the arrival of officers as well as the Spencer Ambulance, it was determined that the 29-year-old man was deceased.
The name of the individual is being withheld pending further investigation from the Spencer Police Department and the Iowa Division of Criminal Investigation. An autopsy is scheduled at the Iowa State Medical Examiner’s Office.
