A man was arrested earlier this week for allegedly causing disturbances at multiple Storm Lake businesses.

The Storm Lake Police Department was called to the 700 block of Lake Avenue at approximately 9:15 Tuesday morning. Officers were informed that a man entered a business in the 700 block of Lake Avenue and began yelling and throwing items. Shortly after that, police received another report that the man had allegedly created a disturbance at another business in the 300 block of West Milwaukee Avenue, where he also yelled and threw items.

The man, identified as 33-year-old Eris Martinez, was located in the 700 block of Grand Avenue and taken into custody. During the booking process, Martinez allegedly became aggressive and was physically resistant. Police also allege that Martinez threatened to kill an officer and their family.

Martinez was charged with 1st Degree Harassment, an aggravated misdemeanor…and two counts of Disorderly Conduct and Interference With Official Acts, both simple misdemeanors. He was booked into the Buena Vista County Jail on a 29 hundred dollar bond.
