Election Day has arrived.
There are no contested local races in Buena Vista or Calhoun Counties.
Sac County voters will decide on a public measure to allow 10.9 million dollars in general obligation bonds to go toward construction of a new county jail. 60 percent approval is needed. Another public measure would fund EMS Services in Sac County for up to 15 years. The measure would add 75 cents per one thousand dollar value.
Charlys Folk and Kristy Gilbert are both running for Ida County Auditor.
In Cherokee County, Shane Bellefy and Stephanie Carr are both running for Board of Supervisors District 5 representative.
Democrat Ryan Melton is challenging Republican Randy Feenstra to represent Iowa in the U.S. House’s 4th Congressional District.
Michael Schnoes is challenging Republican Zack Dieken for District 5 State Representative.
Republican Mike Sexton and Martin Podraza are running for District 7 State Representative.
Democrat Dustin Durbin and Republican Steven Holt are running for District 12 State Representative.
