A Storm Lake Police Department team is raising funds and awareness for the “Run Ranger Run” program throughout September.
As of the start of this week, Storm Lake’s nine-member team had raised close to 17-hundred dollars in pledges, which ranks 4th overall among participating teams in the fundraiser. During this month, the team is logging fitness miles running, walking, or biking for the cause, which aids programs for veterans transitioning back to civilian life. Former Assistant Police Chief Todd Erskine is among the members of Storm Lake’s team.
Ten-percent of the funds raised go to the U.S. Army Rangers Assistance Fund to meet the immediate needs of Army Rangers and their families. Anyone who would like to donate to support the Storm Lake Police Department’s fundraising effort can do so by clicking here.
