A reminder that a burn ban remains in effect in Storm Lake through this Wednesday.
The burn ban is due to a City of Storm Lake code of ordinances amendment related to RAGBRAI. Recreational fires within the City are prohibited until 11:59pm this Wednesday. Recreational fires are defined as any fire used for recreational purposes including fires in fire pits, chimineas, or similar apparatus.
Violators of the ordinance are subject to municipal infractions. Contact the Storm Lake Fire Department with any questions.
